SMALL-SIGNAL RESPONSES OF DC-DC CONVERTERS
Original language description
Small-signal frequency-domain responses describe behavior of DC-DC converters under smallsignal perturbation of the input voltage or the switch duty ratio. The paper compares responses obtained using the well-known state-space averaging method with reference responses obtained using the harmonic balance method. It will be shown the averaging method provides the most accurate results for the Buck converter in a broad frequency band. On the other hand, inaccuracies occur even below the Nyquist frequency for the Boost and Buck-Boost converters, which follows from the structure of state matrices.
