Establishment of Reference Localization System Based on Boundary Recognition of Wireless Sensor Network
Original language description
Understanding of energy consumption of individual processing tasks in wireless sensor networks is important aspect for the network configuration and maintenance. The fundamental task of WSNs is to gather data in the long-term manner and thus all additiveprocesses such as routing, localization e.g. should not significantly affects the life-time of WSN network. It was already proved that concurrent anchor-free localization algorithms have high localization accuracy but also suffer with the high communication cost. We have performed a detailed analysis of wellknown AFL (Anchor-Free Localization) algorithm to show its excessive energy dissipation and proposed novel BRA (Boundary Recognition Aided localization) that significantly optimizes a communicationcost of the localization process by distributively discovering nodes placed on the periphery of network and thus decreases number of internodal transmissions.
