A Study of Bearing Fault Diagnosis
Original language description
This article describes the major types and causes of bearing defects and the current methods for condition monitoring and predictive fault diagnosis of ball bearings in rotating electric machines. Although bearings producers continually improves technology, materials and design, the bearings faults are still frequent source of electric machines breakdowns, especially when the machines are fed by frequency converters.
