Warehouse Routing Problem Built on Evolutionary Techniques of Genetic Algorithms
Original language description
In general, the proper organization of work and production processes in the warehouses can save significant financial resources. This paper deals with optimizing the vehicle routing problem within logistics warehouses using evolutionary techniques of genetic algorithms. The main aim of the work is to find and plan possible paths to be used for receiving, transfer and put away, storing, order picking, cross-docking, and shipping during the passage through warehouse. The paper proposes methods for findingthe path, coding a chromosome, simulation of the whole process and finding a solution of the vehicle routing problem where there is no danger of possible path crossing.
