Biosignal Processing for the Blood Pressure Measurement
Original language description
The paper describes a new possibility of non-invasive method of blood pressure measurement without a cuff. The electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmogram (PPG) are simultaneously recorded from different places on patient's artery in order to determine their mutual time shifts and pulse wave velocity using digital signal processing. These parameters and data obtained during the first calibration measurement enable us to calculate subsequent values of patient's blood pressure.
