Filtered Multitone Modulation and its comparison with OFDM modulation

  • Original language description

This article deals with a description of multicarrier modulations FMT - Filtered MultiTone and OFDM - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing. Filtered multitone modulation is an interesting alternative modulation to OFDM. Possibilities of prototype filter design are shown and also spectral and others characteristics of both modulations is described and compared. Both modulations were compared in terms of computational complexity and their spectral properties. Rayleigh channel was used in simulationsfor comparison of transmission and spectral characteristics.
