This paper deals with design of solutions for hardware and software programmable IR receiver. IR sensor is actually a logical programmable controller, which responds to commands from the remote broadcast communications protocol RC6 designed by Philips. Codes of these commands can be assigned to different actions. Using the configuration application in PC is possib-le to order firmly programmed codes in a flexible management processor Cypress (CY8C29466). Configuration software for the PC (personal computer) is created using the python programming language. The main purpose of this device is helping (support) for the handicapped people.
