The communication of smart card with smart card reader can be used to eavesdrop on processed data by monitoring communication and power supply channels. If not encrypted, the communication can be eavesdropped by monitoring communication ports of the card. And if the communication is encrypted, power-voltage side channel attack can be utilized. For successful measurement of smart card processor power consumption and monitoring of communication port, a special analyzing unit has to be used. Following paper describes our design of smart card power supply and communication real time monitoring unit.
