Research for Component of Electrolyser
Original language description
One of the best ways to produce very clean hydrogen is by electrolysis of water in an electrolyser. For our measurements we designed a simple laboratory electrolyser with two parallel electrodes separated by an appropriate membrane. Three methods to improve the electrolyser will be discussed. First is through different alkaline electrolytes, second through increase of electrode active surface and third is through finding membranes, which are acceptable to use in an electrolyser and which are also cheaper than commercial membranes.
