In this paper we present the application of the TechOptimizer in the physics teaching process. TechOptimizer, one of the software tools supporting the methodology TRIZ (Teoria reshenia izobretatelskikh zadach/ Thery of Inventive Problem Solving) makes accessible a wide range of databases of physical effects and their technical applications, thus enables to make physics teaching more attractive for engineering students.
