Design of Configuration Vector
Original language description
The configuration vector is used to control the switching area for a network element of converged networks. We design the configuration vector using the Hopfield and the Kohenen neural networks in this paper. The network element is then controlled not bythe usual sequential circuits but just using neural networks. The paper covers the training and testing of neural networks in the Matlab environment by the Neural Network Tool. This testing is focused on the theoretical model of a switch. Regarded as the theoretical model of the network element (switch) is an element whose control block solves only the current status of the inputs, the setting of a priority vector and the subsequent calculation of the configuration vector. The control block does not solve the problems with queues; it does not include traffic properties such as delay, bit rate, traffic rules, and so on. It does not solve the switching area or the immediate future of the packet transmitted.
