Performance of Native and In-depth Interleaving used in DVB-H in Mobile Fading Channels
Original language description
This paper deals with the comparison of native and in-depth interleavers, which are used in the mobile TV DVB-H stan-dard. In-depth interleaving is an alternative method of sym-bol interleaving in the DVB-H standard, which can improve robustness of the signal quality in the mobile TV communi-cation channel. The influence of both interleavers on the signal quality was analyzed and simulated in typical mobile fading channels. Application for this simulation was devel-oped in MATLAB. Dependences of BER (before and after Viterbi decoding) and MER on C/N ratio were simulated and compared. Finally, achieved results are evaluated and discussed in the conclusion.
