    The safety of lithium batteries has been discussed recently in connection to prospective use in a variety of high power applications such as electric cars, reserve batteries in huge aircrafts and similar objects. We have decided to add some contributionto this problem. One way to increase the fire safety of electrolytes is to use a new low flammable solvents and materials. For further increase the safety is possible to add some kind of flame retardant into the electrolyte. We are describing the influence of flame retardant triethylphosphate on main properties of electrolytes in this article.
