Standard telephone lines are not able to offer modern telecommunication services, especially in the last years, where we can see the great development of VoIP services. Many Internet service providers started to offer VoIP services as well as VoIP connection to telecommunication network. These providers are using in many cases open-source solutions on different types of hardware and their networks are not stable or not optimal. The only way how to recognize the possibilities of their infrastructure is to measure basic parameters under stress test with many calls. Commercial testing equipment is enormously expensive and unreachable for small VoIP providers. In this article, Asterisk based test environment is presented.
