One of main challenges of estimation consumption of electrical energy is determining of exact switching on and switching off time of public lighting system. During the year the exact switching on time depends especially on latitude. During the day the exact switching on time depends on longitude. But switching time of municipalities lying on the meridian can be different. This time depends on distance between municipalities and this difference is changing during the year. Minimum occurs during the spring and autumn equinox. Maximum occurs in summer and winter solstice. This fact can play significant role in estimation of consumption of electrical energy of public lighting system. This article deals with estimation of error size in determination of electric energy consumption generating from neglecting correction of municipality latitude location.
