This paper aims to summarize the existing pieces of knowledge about computational electromagnetics (CEM) methods in the field of aircraft industry. Research that has been carried out so far can be divided into two groups according to the external effectsaffecting the aircraft during its common operation. These are effects of high intensity fields (HIRF) and effects caused by lightning stroke.
