Original language description
During determination of thermal changes of lead acid battery cell it is necessary to calculate all the contributions of the various kinds of heat contributing to the overall heat balance. It is the heat generated due to the electrochemical reactions taking place during discharging and charging, the heat generated due to the ohmic and polarization losses (ie. Joule heat) and heat which is lost by the contact with the surroundings (convection, conduction, radiation).
