PMMA-based electrolytes for li-ion batteries
Original language description
Currently, the most used electrochemical power sources are Li-ion accumulators due to their high theoretical capacity and work potential. Because of increasing demands (current density and capacity), new forms of electrode materials and electrolytes for electrochemical power sources are researched. Gel polymer electrolytes are perspective for new types of Li-ion batteries. The properties and advantages of these gels can be used also in other fields of electrochemistry. The gel polymer electrolyte is composed of a conductive component (liquid electrolyte) and a polymer component (methacrylate). In this paper, we present fundamental characteristics of gel polymer electrolytes based on methacrylate.
