Degradation of Perovskite Solar Cell Based on CH3NH3PbI3-2Cl2 Structure

  • Original language description

Degradation of perovskite photovoltaic cells is one of the most serious problems in their development. This paper deals with the most common mechanisms reducing perovskite conversion efficiency. Eight reference samples were created to observe the degradation mechanisms. Four of them with an CH3NH3PbI3-2Cl2 active perovskite layer and four of them with an CH3NH3PbI3 active perovskite layer. Degradation and changes in the parameters of the perovskite samples were most influenced by the moisture and UV radiation. An interesting phenomenon has occurred related to the gradual increasing and lowering of conversion efficiency. The grains have unified leading to the enlargement of its volume. This may reduce the number of grain boundaries which forms a barrier to the current. Decrease of CH3NH3PbI3-2Cl2 perovskite solar cells efficiency was about 20 % and decrease of CH3NH3PbI3 samples was about 55 %. Photovoltaic cells were further analyzed.
