Special Issue on Current-Mode circuits and systems; Recent advances, design and applications
Original language description
In the last decade, due to the ever increasing demand for high performance circuits with the emphasis on low voltage operation and high bandwidth, Current-Mode Signal Processing has received high popularity. Powerful solutions and numerous new current-mode building blocks and applications have been developed by researchers. Current-Mode approach has created new path and possibilities to design high performance circuits in fine technologies. We are witnessing that each day more and more voltage-mode circuits are replaced with current-mode ones. However to exploit the full potential of current-mode approach, it is still highly required to develop new current-mode active building blocks, structures and applications. The aim of this special issue was to gather the latest works in the field of current-mode signal processing with focus on theory, design, applications and realizations.
