The Time-Domain Compensation Contour Integral Method (TD-C2IM) – A New Approach to the Analysis of Irregularly-Shaped Parallel-Plane Circuits

  • Original language description

A time-domain electromagnetic (EM) reciprocity theorem is applied to formulate a novel integral-equation based computational technique for analyzing the pulsed EMcharacteristics of parallel-plane circuits of arbitrary shape. In this formulation, the spatial solution domain is reduced to a part of the actual boundary contour that does not overlap with the circumscribing rectangular contour of the referential circuit, thereby introducing drastic computational savings with respect to the standard contour-integral formulation. A step-by-step updating stable solution scheme of the integral equation is introduced and validated with the aid of a three-dimensional direct-discretization technique and the feature-selective validation analysis.
