Analysis of daily load diagrams for active and reactive energy

  • Original language description

The article compares and evaluates daytime active and reactive power consumption, exploiting data supplied by electricity quality meters. The purpose of the research is to determine and evaluate the amount of reactive energy taken by different buildings. The measurement took place in residential and commercial buildings over several weeks during various parts of the year. The analyzed structures included single-family homes, a school, an office building, a manufacturing plant, and a shop. The paper presents the daily load diagrams related to the active and reactive energies, with discrimination between workdays and weekends. The actual result consists in not only demonstrating the reactive energy consumption compared to active energy use in different types of customers but also analyzing possible reasons for reactive energy utilization.
