Scalable DDoS Mitigation System
Original language description
Distributed Denial of Service attacks (DDoS) areused by attackers for their effectiveness. This type of attackis one of the most devastating attacks in the Internet. Everyyear, the intensity of DDoS attacks increases and attackers usesophisticated multi-target DDoS attacks. In this paper, a modularsystem that allows to increase the filtering capacity linearly andallows to protect against the combination of DDoS attacks isdesigned and implemented. The main motivation for developmentof the modular filtering system was to find a cheap solutionfor filtering DDoS attacks with possibility to increase filteringcapacity. The proposed system is based on open-source detectionand filtration tools.
