SUPERKONDEZÁTOR VS. BATERIE: PARAMETRY A POUŽITÍ
Original language description
Supercapacitors recently attract the attention due to their superior values in the parameters like capacitance, discharge currents and cycle lifespan. Supercapacitors are designed and used in many applications where they partially or completely substitute conventional batteries. On the other side, supercapacitors are used in applications which are not so far suitable for these devices. To avoid wrong design and misuse of the supercapacitors it is necessary understand their properties and realize their place among electric energy storage devices. The supercapacitors have significant limitations and disadvantages which should be taken into account before considering their application. There are three main types of supercapacitors which differ in operation principle, performance like energy density, charge-discharge current, theoretical capacitance. But it is important to note that most advanced type of supper capacitor, the hybrid-supercapacitor, is very close to standard lithium-ion battery. This article trying to review and explain the place of supercapacitors among other electric energy store devices, especially electrochemical cells – batteries.
