    Compensation of reactive power in LV network and its impact on reactive power flow through distribution grid

    This article is focused on reactive power flow analysis in LV and MV networks. In the first section, individual power network elements that contribute with their reactive power to the distribution network are discussed. The second part of this paper is dedicated to the reactive power flow calculation using PSS® Sincal simulation software, where a network with distributed generation equipped with Volt-Var regulation was modelled. The aim of this work is to evaluate the impact of the reactive power compensation on reactive power flows in the distribution network.
