    This article deals with the issue of precision control of stepper motors. Stepper motors are used in many applications due to their properties in terms of accuracy and speed control. In this paper, an application is proposed for the precise positioning of a tunable waveguide shunt. A special type of stepper motor called linear actuator is used for this application.
