  • Original language description

    This paper presents experience with developed Central Energy Meter applications used in the campus of Brno University of Technology (BUT). Local distribution system of the BUT is a modern power grid in which communication plays an important role in the making the system reliable. The communication network transfers IEC 61850-9-2 Sampled Values from distribution transformer stations to the experimental data centre at BUT. Data are used for parallel applications – statistical energy meter and active network management. The applications perform two basic analytical functions - Unsymmetrical Condition Locator and Monitoring of voltage events in the grid. This paper presents also new functions of the Central Energy Meter applications, which utilize the big data and increase the monitoring possibilities of the grid.
