Experimental High–voltage AC Generators for Cardiological Purposes

  • Original language description

This paper is focused on a development of high-voltage AC generators, which are proposed for experimental use at cardiology, especially for treatment of arrhythmia. Both generators work as DC–AC inverters with step–up pulse transformer, which provide a galvanic isolation of a load from other circuits. An older generator is designed for high–frequency electroporation, while a new generator works at lower frequency, which seems more advantageous for the arrhythmia treatment. A modular arrangement of the new generator allows to create a multi–channel device or an asymmetrical waveform generator. The whole device is controlled by a main processor board, which also provides some measurements. Set and measured quantities are shown on display.
