    Detection of Problems in an Industrial Network Using the Concept of Edge Computing

  • Original language description

    This paper deals with troubleshooting and monitoring of industrial networks. It describes possible problems of deploying a network monitoring system in an industrial environment. The proposed solution, described in this paper, demonstrates the edge computing paradigm, which is also shortly introduced. The solution has been developed on the Cisco IE3400 network switch, and tested on live Profinet traffic and real industrial networking equipment.
