Original language description
The paper presents the implementation of a modified procedure for the semisymbolic analysis of fractionalorder linear circuits. If all exponents of the s-domain transfer function are rational numbers, it is possible, after applying the well-known s-w transformation, to decompose the function into partial fractions and perform the inverse Laplace transform. Consequently, the step or impulse response can be expressed analytically as a sum of two-parameter Mittag-Leffler functions and their derivatives. This decomposition may require calculating the roots of high-order polynomials in the auxiliary w-plane. The paper demonstrates that the transformation to the w-plane can be performed directly within the circuit matrix, and the roots can be calculated using algorithms for the generalized eigenvalue problem, which are generally better posed than polynomial root-finding algorithms. The method has been implemented experimentally in the SNAP program, which is gradually being extended with procedures for fractional-order circuits.
