The paper deals with the influence of the feed current onto the temperature field in the vicinity of the electric arc plasma. The thermal stressing of the quenching chamber is one of the view points which has so far been investigated only marginally, since the time and space waveform of temperatures in the vicinity of the plasma were not know. For their determination has been employed an application of the method holographic interferometry suitable for the determination of the temperature field in a traansparent gas in the vicinity of the electric arc plasma.
