Flow Pattern of Quenching Media in Extinguishing Chamber of Self-Blast Type Circuit Breaker
Original language description
An attempt is described to compare computations of viscous high temperature flows of air and sulphur hexafluoride gas in high-voltage circuit breaker. A commercially available finite-volume method based solver is used for calculation of unsteady flow. The arc thermal effects (such as radiation, gas ionisation) are neglected and gases, air and SF6 are assumed to behave as ideal gas.
