The contribution contains a review of educational and research activities which are realised in some areas of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) at the Brno University of Technology (BUT) in last few years. The concept of theoretical education and practical training in EMC is described and some results of investigation of special EMC simulators, and EM screens, and of the properties of new shielding and absorbing materials are presented.
