Original language description
The development of initially simple ARQ systems has led to the appearance of adaptive ARQ systems. Another method of enhancing the security of data transmission against errors has resulted in the application of correcting codes and FEC systems. There area number of correcting codes whose correction capabilities are easy to change. In the present paper The application is studied of a set of Hagelbarger codes operating in the correction mode in the corresponding code security system (CSS). This CSS wouldmake it possible to set the correction range for the transmitted message in dependence on the transmission properties of the communication channel employed.
