Original language description
The aim of this article is to define a constraint language of XML documents. The constraint language extends the language of predicate logic with equality. The transformation of XML document to the corresponding relation system that realized the languageis described in detail. The intention of the constraint language is to support a complex checking of static semantics of XML documents. In opposite of what DTD or XML Schema offer the constraint language allows to express conditions with scope of the whhole document instead of isolated elements.
