Original language description

Although visually impaired people can access digital information by using computers, usually the content of Internet pages is not fully accessible. The dissemination of information available through the World Wide Web makes universal access more and moreimportant and supports visually impaired people in their everyday life. In this paper we present a new system which serves visually impaired people for browsing and interacting with web pages. We propose a system, which uses translation rules to renderweb pages upon user requests.

Czech description

Tento příspěvek se zabývá problematikou přístupnosti obsahu internetových stránek zrakově handicapovaným uživatelům. Hlavním problémem internetových stránek je fakt, že nejsou od počátku vytvářeny s ohledem na postižené uživatele, kteří tvoří pouze menšinu všech jejich návštěvníků. V článku je představena koncepce systému, který by mohl být používán handicapovanými uživateli bez nutnosti mít nainstalované speciální prohlížeče. Systém pracuje jako překladač obsahu internetových stránek podle specifickýchpožadavků uživatele.<br>
