Hunting Down Cryptocurrency Users
Original language description
The session surveys current options of both blockchain and traffic analysis for various cryptocurrency networks (not limited to Bitcoin only but including also Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, and others). We will explain in detail the properties of cryptocurrency forensics including address clustering, coinjoining of inputs, transaction mixing, and traffic correlation. We will mention existing (non-)commercial tools and provide a subjective list of features that a "good" tool should have. We will demonstrate methods of cryptocurrency user tracking and crime assessment in the frame of our own tool.
