Organic-mineral complex for soil remediation
Original language description
Contribution reports on preparation of the so-called organic-mineral complex suitable for enhanced natural attenuation. Our project is aimed at developing of soil amendment supporting its natural attenuation capacity. Organic-mineral complex should combine in synergic effect natural materials, as are zeolites and humic acids, known for their affinity to both inorganic and organic contaminants. Natural zeolites of clinoptilollite type from Slovakia basin and humic acids isolated from the South-Moravia liignite were used as raw materials. Organic-mineral complex was prepared by impregnation (sorption) of inorganic support with humic substances. Contribution presents data from sorption studies of humic acids on zeolite and sorption-desorption of copper ions on the complex.
