Original language description

Limits of detection and quantification are used routinelly by analytical chemists to evaluate data quality. There are several conceptions for method detection limit (MDL) estimation. The Graham's way of MDL calculation is based on statistical treatment of calibration data. MDL is obtained by solving the equation for confidence intervals as the individual concetration with zero LCL (lower confidence limit).

Czech description

Mez detekce a stanovitelnosti jsou analytickými chemiky využívány běžně k hodnocení kvality dat. Pro stanovení detekčního limitu metody (MDL) existuje několik koncepcí. Grahamův způsob výpočtu MDL je založen na statistickém zpracování kalibračních dat. MDL je získán řešením rovnice pro určení intervalů spolehlivosti jako koncentrace analytu s nulovou hodnotou dolní meze intervalu spolehlivosti.
