Structure and morphology of some diphenyl-diketo-pyrrolo-pyrrole derivatives pigments
Original language description
3,6-di-pyridin-4-yl-2,5-dihydro-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4-dione (DPPP) and 3-phenyl-6-pyridin-4-yl-2,5-dihydro-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4-dione were prepared both in thin film. Molecular OLED devices are generally fabricated by sublimation under vacuum ofsuccessive layers of electron-and hole transporting materials. In contrast, low-cost solution-based processing techniques are usually requested for industrial production. Therefore four different derivatives of diphenyl-diketo-pyrrolopyrrole (DPP) withalkyl side groups were synthesized to increase their solubility (see Table I) and the question of relation between the chemical structure and morphology of prepared thin films were addressed.
