Lanthanum Manganase Peroskvite Nanoparticles for Molecular Diagnostic Application
Original language description
Nanoparticles of manganese perovskite of the composition La0.75Sr0.25MnO3 uniformly coated with silica (20 nm thicks silica shell) were prepared by encapsulation of the magnetic cores (mean crystallite size 24 nm) using tetraethoxysilane followed by fractionation. The main advantages of these nanoparticles for routine use are: their high colloidal stability allowing a more precise dosage (in comparison with microsized magnetic particles) and thus a high reproducibility of DNA isolation. Lanthanum manganese peroskvite particles (LSMO(0.25)@SiO2) were used for the isolation of bacterial DNA.
