Temperatures under nitrogen post-discharge conditions
Original language description
This contribution presents measurements of the rotational temperature time evolution in the afterglow of a DC nitrogen flowing discharge at 1000 Pa. The results confirm the interest of the rotational temperature of the 1st positive system as a diagnostictool, and the presence of mechanisms populating the N2(B), N2(C), and N2+(B) states, which are not significant under discharge conditions and appear at afterglow times of the order of 3x10-2 s.
