Study on mobility of methylene blue in the presence of humic acids
Original language description
In order to investigate an influence of sorption ability of humic acids on their barrier performance in natural systems, the simple experiment was conducted in which transport of basic organic dye (methylene blue) in model hydrogel media with varying content of humic acids was directly observed. The results show clear suppression of diffusion coefficient of methylene blue in the media by presence humic acids and increase in concentration at interface by the same. The barrier performance as well as the affinity of humic acids is comprehensibly illustrated in these results.
