Influence od polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons on earthworms Eisenia Fetida

  • Original language description

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are persistent organic pollutants contaminating all components of the environment. Earthworms, common soil organisms, were used to evaluate the load of this environmental component by PAHs. The influence of PAHs onearthworm Eisenia fetida was evaluated according to the OECD methods No. 207 (,,Earthworm Acute Toxicity Tests", 4 April 1984). A standard mixture containing 16 individual PAHs was used in the test.
