Power Dependence of the Nitrogen Pink Afterglow Effect
Original language description
Influence of discharge power on nitrogen DC flowing post-discharge was studied by optical emission spectroscopy in the spectral range of 300-800 nm. The plasma was generated in the quartz discharge tube at pressure of 1 kPa. The applied power was 90-290W (discharge current was 50-200 mA). The relative populations of N2 (B 3Pi_g), N2 (C 3Pi_u), and N2 + (B 2Sigma_u+) states were calculated for post-discharge time up to 50 ms. Results showed a strong applied power dependence of the nitrogen pink afterglow effect.
