    Characterization of the brass threads

  • Original language description

The research report has 12 pages. It was prepared for the company IMI International Ltd. Norgren CZ (ordered January 14, 2013). Preparation and measurement of delivered samples is described. The values of maximal sustained torque and designation of samples (provided by client): 1701465 ? 34.8 Nm, 1701466 ? 30.4 Nm, 36336100 ? 56.0 Nm, 36336200 ? 57.9 Nm. The structure of brass samples especially in the threaded section (as required) was observed by the inverted light microscope ZEISS AXIO OBSERVER Z1m.The hardness and microhardness was measured using a LECO microhardness tester AMH43. The structure analysis of fracture surface and element analysis was performed on a scanning electron microscope JEOL JSM-7600F with an energy dispersive analyzer OXFORDX-Max 20 mm2.
