Application of Low Temperature Plasmas for Restoration/Conservation of Archaeological Objects
Original language description
The low pressure hydrogen based plasmas were used to study the influence of processes and discharge conditions on corrosion removal using the model corroded samples. The conditions are optimized for selected most frequent materials of original metallic archaeological objects (iron, bronze, copper, and brass). The new developed plasma jet generated in liquids was applied on selected non-metallic materials. The first results are presented here, too.
