Quantify and understanding binding of heavy metals to humic substances by isothermal calorimetry
Original language description
Humic acid under research occur in many places in nature. They are presented in all types of soils, sediments, peat, coal, rivers. Humic substances presented in soil are capable to bond with pollutants, water and nutrients. Considering their bonding with pollutants it is generally observed, that humic substances are able to bond heavy metals ions in nature. Study of thermodynamics of these reactions significantly improves our knowledge about reactivity of humic substances. The object of our study was sample of lignite Humic Acid. We tried the temperature dependence and effect on thermodynamics of reaction. We measured at 25 °C and 30 °C. We selected one an essential element for plant growth – copper and one of toxic metal in environment - lead for reaction with humic acids.
