Original language description
Synthetics musk compounds are artificial organic compounds which are used in cosmetics, personal care products, detergents and various clearing products. Due to the large area of their applications and persistence, they have leaked into all the major environmental components, especially into the hydrosphere. The aim of this research is to identify twelve linear musk compounds (linalool, 2-cyclohexylethanol, fresco menthe, citronellol, HSA, isobornylacetate, arocet, aroflorone, allyl cyclohexyl propionate, lilial, isoamyl salicylate and hexylcinnamic aldehyde) in waste and surface water samples. At the first, the working method was optimized and then applied on real water samples. Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) technique was used for the isolation of analytes from matrix. Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS) was then used for identification and quantificaton of the studied compounds. The evaluated data shows that linear musk compounds are present in water in concentration range of units to hundreadths ng∙mL-1.
