On the verge of two entities: proteinogenic amino acids stabilized perovskite nanoparticles
Original language description
Highly luminescent metal halide perovskite nanoparticles can be obtained by a facile ligand assisted precipitation technique. Perovskite nanoparticles exhibit exceptional optical properties which can be tuned not only by the chemical stoichiometry but also by the confined size of the particles at the dimensional scale where quantum broadening takes place. The nanoparticles formation is possible due to ammonium group of the ligand embedding into the perovskite structure during the crystallization process. Perovskite nanoparticles have already shown their applicability in semiconductiong devices such as OLEDs, photodetectors and lasers The present work is focused on the synthesis of methylammonium lead bromide (MAPbBr3) nanoparticles stabilized by proteinogenic amino acids, namely L-arginine and L-lysine alongside with various surfactants. Prepared highly crystalline nanoparticles were below 10 nm in size and emitted light within a narrow bandwidth of the visible spectrum and exhibited photoluminescence
